My DTR arrived this morning! I’m very impressed how quickly it arrived here in the UK, having only ordered it on New Year’s Day. I am wearing it now and it feels rather comfortable, and it goes on far easier than up to a dozen o-rings, so I should have no problems wearing it whilst at work. I’ll look into getting a picture of it up at the weekend.
I have taken several photos for month 3, which you can find in their own page on the right. I ave also added a comparison page so that my progress can be seen at a glance.
Happy New Year foreskin fans! Sorry it has been so long since my last post but rest assured I am still restoring as best I can and believe I am making good progress. I have recently started a new job and what with Christmas and all I haven’t really had the opportunity to bring this blog to front of mind.
This coming Monday will be 3 months since I started restoring and am currently still using the multiple o-ring method. With just o-rings on their own, I can fit around 13 or 14 on in one stack, but that is a little too many to be manageable or practical for general tooing and froing. I made myself a couple of packers out of Fimo clay which I started using when I could fit 8 rings on without packing. However, I am now finding that the packing along with half a dozen or so rings is starting to cause friction burns when used for any more than 3 or 4 hours at a time.
So, on New Years Day, I ordered a DTR, which I hope will arrive by the end of next week. Along with the burning, packing with o-rings is becoming a little too time consuming and cumbersome to be able to restore whilst at work, so I now need an alternative device, and after looking at what is available, I decided the DTR is the best one for my needs.
As far as photos go, I will try to do some later, however I’m not too sure they’ll show an awful lot of flaccid difference compared to the first batch taken in October. I was a CI-2 when I started and consider myself to be at the tail end of CI-3 now. Won’t be long now before I start rolling over- I hope!
Well, I am up to 7 rings now- with the aid of a stopper fashioned from the tip of a baby bottle teat. The good thing about using the multiple O Ring method is you can actally measure your progress in real terms, without the guesswork.
At this rate I will be up to 8 rings by the end of the month quite comfortably, at which point I will start using some kind of packing, dropping back down to something like 4 rings and then working my way up to 8 and then increasing the amount of packing ad infinitum.
Sensitivity is beginning to return to the glans and the skin texture is beginning to change a little. It is now rather uncomfortable to have the glans exposed and rubbing against my clothes, so I am doing everything I can to make sure I am covered as often as possible. To this end, I am experimenting with ways of keeping covered at night time too, without having to stretch the skin (night erections etc). Someone on one of the forums suggested using the remainder of the baby bottle teat to hold the skin in place during the night, so I will be giving that a go tonight.
Well it’s been a week and I’m still restoring, which is the longest I’ve gone with an attempt at this. This I attribute to the ease of using O-Rings.
I have been experimenting with different sizes and thicknesses of rings and have found that a thickness of 3/32s works best for me. Right now I have 6 rings on- 4 at 3/4″ ID, 1 slightly bigger on first and 1 slightly smaller to hold them all in place at the end. Obviously this is more than the 3 1/16 of varying sizes I started off with last week, but because of the experimentation this week I can’t measure any progress in numbers. Hopefully I can add an extra 3/4″ ring per week for the next few weeks until I have enough length to add a stopper, which I will make when it is needed.
As for sensitivity of the glans, I think there is some extra sensitivity, but not enough to make any discernable difference. At night I am not wearing anything as that would most certainly cause injury.
I will post again when I am up to 7 rings.
I have taken some pictures and uploaded them here. You can find the link if you look to the “Pages” section on the right of this page.
I have now managed to fit 5 O rings on, 4 3/4″ ones and 1 slightly smaller to hold them in place. Obviously this doesn’t mean I’ve started growing new skin, it just means that the skin I already have is being able to be stretched a little further now it’s had a bit of encouragement.
For the time being, at least, I have decided not to go for the 24/7 approach as there really isn’t an awful lot of skin to work with to allow for night-time erections, so I took the rings off before I went to bed last night. I plan to wear them all day during the day time though, giving me approximately 16 hours per day, 7 days a week, which I think is sufficient. I will be posting pictures here and plan to do my “before” shots tomorrow when I have the time and the privacy.
In the mean time, I’ll tell you a little about me.
I am 31 years old and live in England. I was circumcised at 14 due to a very, very tight foreskin (the hole was only 2mm wide!), not as a baby like many men. So I vaguely remember what it was like to have a foreskin, and therefore have something to miss. Luckily I was cut very well and reasonably loose and there is a fair amount of frenulum remaining. One of the main reasons I want my foreskin back is due to a slight injury I recieved during sex about 8-9 years ago- someone snagged a tooth on my glans during oral sex! With all the day to day rubbing against my clothes that area gets rather uncomfortable and every few days the skin sheds off like if it were sunburnt. It doesn’t hurt, but I think it deserves some protection from daily wear and tear.
I plan to make several posts here over the next 2 months as I experiment with different ways of stretching etc, but after that I expect to only make 1 or 2 posts a month, with pictures to update my progress.
My goal is, for now, to have complete coverage with a slight overhang when soft, and I’ll re-evaluate when I reach that point. I am a grower, not a shower, so I hope this goal will be acheived by Christmas 2009.
